Pesky Oil Warning Light

It indicates an oil pressure issue. I do understand that from previous threads. However, the engine has been entirely rebuilt, balanced and blue printed. Oil pump replaced. Oil sensor replaced. Mechanic reports fine pressure and engine is running beautifully but the darn light keeps flickering and then staying on. Scary because a previous Gen4 seized immediately after this light came on. Suspect a wire connection problem. Is there a DYI solution for this? I think my mechanic is getting a little tired of the issue. I don't want to damage my investment. Thanks anyone!!

Re: Pesky Oil Warning Light

If you're certain the pressure's good, and you're certain you have a correct and working oil sensor in place, then check the wire harness connections to both the sensor and to the warning light circuit board. Check the circuit board for solder cracks or cracks in the printed circuit.

You might try running a jumper wire from the sensor to the warning light, just to verify or eliminate the harness.
