H23 engine open (Bearing problems)

Hi everyone.

My h23 is open because problem with crankshaft bearing.

I check all the measures from piston and they are good.

What parts are good to change, still the motor is open and easy to change things.

The parts that I think are:
Oil Seals (I didn't find all the oil seals, oem honda)
Gasket (Oil Pan, Head cover oem honda)
Gasket from Head (Oem Honda, I found one cheap from my friend)
Bearings kit ( Which brand? I am looking for ACL Race, but I didn't found)

From head, what can I change?
Valve Seals?

I thinking in buy ARP for head, is it a good Idea? In the future, I want to put a turbo or nitro.

Thanks for all guys

Re: H23 engine open (Bearing problems)

Thanks.

My clutch is new, I made transmission swap has 10k km or less.

What more can I check on the head?

Is it good to change the piston rings?

92-02 2.2 2.3 HONDA PRELUDE VTEC PISTON RING H22A H23A1 | eBay

Are they good for FRM or I need to buy oem Honda?

Thanks for all

I usually just take my head to machine shop who're specialized in head work - theyre the experts

(usually you need to resurface your head anyway before you put it back in, if its never done before)

yes it would be good, many people use NPR pistons so they should be ok

but if youre planning to go turbo then forged pistons, rods and sleeves + you need stronger clutch and LSD would also help you out

Re: H23 engine open (Bearing problems)

Thanks for your reply.

I found this kit: Fit 92-96 Honda Prelude 2.2 2.3 VTEC H22A1 H23A1 Piston Rings Main Rod Bearings

The piston rings are npr, but I didn't find any information, if it is OK with FRM or no. This kit has a lot of sells, I think they are OK with FRM, but I have fear hahaha

Thanks

Re: H23 engine open (Bearing problems)

Npr makes also h22a pistons

See that it doesn't really help much if your cylinders have weared so again it would be good to check if they need honing - take your block to machine shop (and its pretty pointless to buy oem grade stuff there if you're planning to go turbo afterwards)

Re: H23 engine open (Bearing problems)

The Cylinders are ok!

I going to buy Cometic Gasket and Arp head studs, for turbo in the future, than when crash, forced piston and rods! =D
