92 Prelude Euro R F20B(SiR) Running Rich
Okay so before I start to explain this 1992 Prelude was a H23 swapped to a F20B DOHC. The following fuel related parts were retained and used to put the swap together;
H23 Upper Throttle Body, Fuel Rail, EGR I am running H22 resistor box type injectors, OBD1 P28 chipped ecu by Phareable on a custom basemap (o2 in openloop), highflow flowmaster cat, and H22 FPR. The car runs extremely rich, black smoke and horrible odor defiantly non-burnt fuel. I have changed spark plugs, igniters, ICM. Car idles and drives fine just is extremely rich and gets horrible gas mileage. Sometimes it will bog down sitting at a long line somewhere like the plugs are being flooded with gas, but can usually rev it to get all out. Any suggestions? Will a VAFC help? |

eh basemaps mean that you can get the car started that it can be then tuned properly
are you sure that the engine is healthy, did you rebuild it when you get it?

Yes engine is healthy compression is great, was also very clean, less than 40k on it. Doesn't burn oil once so ever, what I put in comes back out exact amount at oil change time. So what would you suggest to tune it on, how does that work at a dybo with crome? Don't i need a wideband?

Yes I suppose you could say Stock h22 injectors and regulator obd1 peak and hold since the f20b has the 2.2 head on it. All the obd1 fuel injection components from the h23 were used to modify this engine, except injectors and regulator which r h22
