Icon9 New to here, and to Preludes... *sighs* Dont laugh at me toi hard.

So, I've always liked the look of Preludes and for years have said when I was able to I was going to get myself a Honda. So this year I was finally shopping for a car and on Craigslist (of course, that right there should have been my first red flag) I find what I think is the deal of a lifetime. A 94 prelude with 84,000 "original" miles. Running. For $1200. It wasn't beautiful but obviously I saw potential. Here's where the "dun dun dun" would be heard if this were a movie. After doing a lot of research, and shaking my head in shock, I have come to learn my prelude is a Frankenstein. It literally is the Frankenstein of the 94s.

Engine: from a prelude s. Yea, basic ole SOHC 2.2L
Interior: Vtech Black leather with the rear 6x9 sub insert but only the frame and amp left no sub.

And finally....

Chasis: Prelude 4WS... VIN from dash and door panel match up win title, so my little prelude started out a fully functional 4ws with blue pearl paint...

Now, it's half ass spray painted white (thanks assailed who sold it to me) And obviously there's no way of knowing if it's working right or not cause there's no warning light or anything, but the control box thing is still in the back wired in so... The dash matches with the engine and my srs light is on but the srs unit is NOT bolted down and neither was the Computer. And there's no speed sensor at all. And the airbags still have the red connectors so they aren't even hooked up, also have major electrical issues where everytime I get in its a game of chance. You'll never believe this though, I'm only throwing 3 trouble codes... *sighs* So any advice for someone that STiLL is madly in love with the car despite its horrible appearance???

Always a chance buying over the web. Honest people are few and far between. Well you got the Si shell if it has 4ws. I would look at droping in a h22a vtec to start off with. Then maybe source around for a new paint job. I won't sell my lude for anything, believe it is a damn sexy looking car way ahead of it's time. As for the wiring issue I would be carefull with the airbags as you don't know what the previous guy did wiring wise. Maybe get an auto elec to go over your wiring to check that you don't have a potential fire hazard waiting to happen. Post some pics. Look at it this way, you got a blank canvas to make a master piece.

Pics not showing. Better working from photobucket. Press the 'insert image' tab and a URL tab will appear, then just copy and paste the link from your 'photobucket' image in it and your pic should be loaded. Hope I explained well enough.

Link works A OK. You weren't lying about the frankenstein statement. Look at it this way, there is a lot of room for improvement, definitely got a lot of potential but it's going to take a lot of work. All master pieces come from time, patience and heart.

Well yesterday I started sanding it, and then adjusted the timing. At 70mph on the freeway I was pushing 4500 rpm. Got that down so it drives a lot better now, can actually be in first gear for more then a second. That 4ws is pretty crazy when I hit bumps on the freeway though, feel like I'm on a carnival ride for a minute lol I love my car though despite its graveyard parts appearance

I would also do a quick over inspection on your suspension parts. Safety first.

They are pretty horrible looking but then again I know absolutely nothing about suspension parts . I have had concern about that especially now that we're down to only my car after this past weekend

Welcome to PZ @stoic4now. Maybe start your own thread and we can maybe help you there. It's not nice hijacking @AngelEyedAssasin thread.

Hmm This would be pertinent to her as well since she is having issues with her 4WS and I was asking her specifically because she has 4ws, and she may not have seen my post.
This is also how people get to know each other. Oh you got a car? I got one too! we're both newbies in love with our new to us cars! You have issues with your car?? Me too! lets figure it out together. Awesome! But I digress I should've PM'd instead. I'll leave you two to it then.

Sorry @stoic4now didn't mean to upset you. You are right, we are all here for one passion and that is our cars. I would suggest looking at the We Need a resource thread -open- they have a link to online manuals that could maybe help you. If memory serves me correctly there is a wire connector that connects to those terminals. I will also look around in the manual I have. Again I am Sorry and hope we can get past this.

From what I can find those 2 connectors are optional connectors (left C910 and right C911) but for what I don't know. They are not for the 4ws that I know.

Re: New to here, and to Preludes... *sighs* Dont laugh at me toi hard.

Now I really have hijacked the thread. I'm just excited to find forums that have more than 10 or 15 2016 4th gen threads in it. Even better one with a 4ws thread! Just had enough of 5 year old threads which were mostly some butthead goin' " uh huh huh" "Use the search button moron" "Uuuh, huh...huh huh." even though the "search" button sends you back to threads from 07 and oh two with even more dead links Right after i wrote this i found another forum in the UK with an excellent library (they called it a wiki). Anyway I'm prattling.
Thank you both for taking a moment to look.
Having better reading material now, I've found a diagram that shows the #22 fuse as separate from the fuse block. So lo and behold there it is, tacked on to the left side of the box. So every thing is My mytstery is solved and I've met 2 other owners! Awesome
Any way, it's the growing season & the grass ain't gonna cut itself
Thanks
Dalton

Glad you came right. I down loaded a complete mechanics workshop manual in pdf (free of course) for my 4thgen. Will look for the link and post it here. It covers all model ranges in the 4th gen. Oh you are welcome to PM me your email, then I can mail the manual to you.
