4th Gen F22A1 to F20b swap

Please, I'm not a total noob at this so please don't rip me a new one for "not searching" because I have been doing so for two days now and haven't found anything clear. I purchased an F20B, 45k miles, Vtec of course since my F22A1 has turned into a basket case for the past year or so. The warehouse where I bought it from talked me out of getting an F22b saying my car would run 80% better with the F20B and it had half the miles, not to mention it was the same price. I thought it was a no brainier and bought it. I can still take it back as long as I return it in the same condition as I bought it. I was told I could use the same ecu but the vtec wouldn't kick in unless I got the F20B ecu but if it was intended as a daily driver and if I wasn't concerned with speed, it would run perfect, just to use my F22 dizzy as well as my power steering bracket and pump.

To sum up my question, is this accurate? I keep reading about tuned ecu's and motor mounts and one of the gurus there told me they actually installed an F20B into an early model Odyssey and it's still on the road, just never hooked up the vtec. Could this be true? I would love to get the vtec working but what ecu would I need? And what wires do I need to 'run' to the vtec module to get it to work? I have an ASE Certified mechanic who's a Honda genius for whom I'd like to have everything he needs to get this installed without any problems. Can any of you geniuses, I I TRULY mean geniuses because I couldn't figure this out for the life of me, help me out so this goes well and I can get my baby back? Here are the specs for my 'Lude.

1994 Prelude S, F22a1, auto tranny, bone stock except for a header which I plan to eliminate and use the factory exhaust manifold.

I appreciate you Gentlemen INCREDIBLY!! Just the fact that you are available to answer questions without prejudice is admirable! Have a great night and hope to hear from soon!!

-Alex
