Motorized headlight adjuster

Can anyone give some examples of the usefulness of the motorized headlight adjuster found on some models? I believe its a four position switch. Haven't found much info on them.

Re: Motorized headlight adjuster

It is for keeping the headlights aimed at the ground when towing, or, carrying heavier loads.

Re: Motorized headlight adjuster

It was an EDM feature.

Car manufacturers attitudes towards North American's is "****'em, they'll make do."

Re: Motorized headlight adjuster

Cool, I just bought a set and was just wondering if It will be worth it to wire it up. It came with the switch too. I plan on doing an HID retrofit so i'm not sure if that will kill the feature.

and yea, I believe it is EDM, it was shipped from Europe. It's a 2 piece with black housing.

Re: Motorized headlight adjuster

It's cool to have 'em. Like euro ash trays or rear foggies it's something nobody else at the car meet has.

Re: Motorized headlight adjuster

They had some cool stuff. There were a few threads on various sites that listed EDM features with pictures, unfortunately the pics have been taken down

Re: Motorized headlight adjuster

Just benched tested the motors and the left side works fine but the motor in the right side runs continuously with no change in position. I was happy to find out that they are manually adjustable also. I guess ill have to pop it open to see if I can fix it. I doubt anyone has any information so whatever I find I will try and post here in case anyone has the same problem.
