MAP sensor possible problem

Hey guys, so I finally shed some light on my idle problem I've had for 2 years. All vacuum leaks were fixed and the base idle was adjusted by a professional mechanic, the idle is fine in park or neutral, once you put it into any gear and hit the gas the idle will climb to 1500 and stay there, once you pop it back in gear it will return to normal. Me and my buddy were checking the vacuum lines and noticed when we disconnected hose #21 on the diagram the problem was gone, when I hit the gas the idle didn't climb, but the engine started to misfire. It leads to the map sensor and I'm wondering if that can be the problem and if I should replace it? Thanks.
