94 engine swap from non vtec to vtec

Hello guys I have a 94 lude base model and I want to do a vtec swap I have about 2500 to spend and was wondering what would be a good motor. And I was wondering if there is a kit that would come with everything? Thanks

Re: 94 engine swap from non vtec to vtec

When I did the h23a swap, total was around 2300.. But that depends on what you have or can get for cheaper. The prelude i put it into was originally an f22a1 as well. The mounts will work except for the driver side, i used an accord motor mount. And i used an h22 trans. H22 intake, headers, the power steering pump bracket can be used from your f22, but needs to be grinded down in the back to fit. All I can think of at the moment.. I did this swap over 5 years ago..
