92 2.2 Vtec JDM not been started in about 5 years...

So I haven't drove my Prelude in years she's been sitting there without any love and I've decided that I should get her back on the road.

What should I be checking before I try and start her up as she needs to be moved from her current location asap.

Any tips on how to drain the old petrol? I presume i should probably change the oil and filters also? Anything else I should be checking before I turn the key?

Any help at all is appreciated, thank you.

Ya probably oughta consider moving it via flat bed tow truck.

Then when it's in the new location set about trying to get it running.

But at least crank it briefly for kicks n giggles...ya never know. It may start.

Pretty much got flamed for driving like a jackass and was told to slow down. And I'll be damned, slowing down fixed it.

There is a drain plug on the gas tank, drain the old gas.

I also suggest you change the oil before you crank it, then remove the coil wires and unplug the injectors so you can circulate new oil through the motor for a few seconds without actually starting it up.

Ah yes, the ECU fuse would do it even easier. I guess I always default to doing this the "old" way. lol
