New here Have some Questions

Hello guys i have myself a 1992 honda prelude was giving to me by my sister blown engine it had a f22a1 ive asked around to get this babi rebuilt and its over 1k ive looked on ebay they are 1500 i cant put a h22a1 because they are really expensive my question is what other engine can i put that i wont need to do alot of work and less then 1g? any help please

your cheapest option is to find another f22a1. Honda accords also used f22a1 but it was a vtec version. it might be a straight drop in but not 100% sure

is there a write up for a f22b dohc do i need a ecu and wire harness or do i need to buy new things?

Best option is to buy a few tools, pull engine and take it apart until you find why it blew and see if you can fix it yourself. If you can, you are looking at probably a max of 300 bux, or you can go to a junk yard like pull a part and get an engine for like 150 bux

gotcha engine is already pulled ive done some swaps before but ill stick the f22a1 again i think water pump went out keeped overheating

So water pump went out, you over heated and you blew a piston? Kind of an interesting turn of events. Do you mean you lost compression on one cylinder? Or actually had a piston break apart and split up? That would be catastrophic. Usually overheat will crack a head and you'll see oil in the coolant.

no never blew a piston block still works but as stated overheated and car was stopped sister said the water pump started to leak. but the engine has around 319k miles on it
