92 h22 coil replacment

Hello everyone,

I have been struggling with the low idle and sputtering issue on my 92 h22 lude since last week. I started testing the ignition system and i have found out that the rotor is a bit cracked. I have tested the coil and it reads 1.08ohms so it should be changed as well. Also i set my multimeter to 20k ohm to test the spark plugs wires, the reading are 3.05,6.08,10.01,10.06.

The problem is that i cant find h22 parts in my area. Which coil and rotor would fit? What about the spark plugs wires? Are they OK?

My h22 is JDM and the coil is internal. Thanks in advance!

It would help if we knew what area you are in.

JDM internal coil distributors are not that rare, many parts stores (on-line or in real life) can get you either one. You spark leads should be less than 25kΩ total, so the figures you've quoted are still within service limits. When you said you tested the coil, along which terminals did you get the 1.08Ω? Across A and B (top left and bottom left with the clip facing up) you should get between 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω, but across the other two terminals you should get 14kΩ to 22kΩ. Sounds like you did A and B meaning the coil should be replaced.

I just did my cap and rotor and got the parts OEM from Honda, IMO it's better to go genuine for these parts but there are plenty of aftermarket options.
