Icon7 1992 Honda prelude idling issue

Hey new to this site but it looks like a good site with a lot of helpful people. I have a small problem. I own a 1992 Honda prelude and if I go to start it up the next morning it revs up to over 3000 rom and then drops after it's warmed up and stays at 2000 rpm and drops every 2 seconds to 1500 rpm and sounds like it's going to stall... What could this be ? I just bought it and did A LOT of work to it so far, new rad, sparks, oil, etc... Anyways it had 359672 k on body and on the engine with is is kilometres it has between 200-275,000 wasn't told the exact amount as the engine was used and put in 5 years ago.

Pretty much got flamed for driving like a jackass and was told to slow down. And I'll be damned, slowing down fixed it.
