AFC NEO TUNER ON H22A

So I have an apexi afc neo tuner on my lude with the jdm h22a. I think it is tuned wrong. First off I put all sensor types to 6 in and 6 out. I then corrected it from a 6 cylinder non vtec engine to 4 cylinder vtec engine. If I turn vt control off I get a check engine light. If I turn it on then the cel goes away. I have not done anything with air map at all. Everything is sitting at zero. My car sputters and hesitates at low rpm. When I give it more load, it picks up and acts fine. I have replaced a number of things like distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs and wires, vtec gasket, fuel filter. When I switched the hot wire and pressure to 6 in and 6 out, it seemed to help make it run smoother And quieter. I don't know how I need to set my air map or throttle %. In fact I don't know how to set any of it. My fuel pressure is 60psi, and I was told that stock is 42psi. I am going to change that to see if it helps. The engine is stock besides cai, header, and exhaust. I am stumped on this.

Re: AFC NEO TUNER ON H22A

I fixed my problems. The car is actually running really great right now. I cleaned my egr valve, took my fuel injectors out and cleaned them up. They were pretty bad. Anyways I didn't adjust the fuel pressure. And as for the afc neo tuner I just left my ne points at 0. Put all my sensor types at 6 in and 6 out. I'm tgi king about taking g it to a dyno and tuning shop and taking the tuner out and having them tune it through the ecu.

Are you going to sell the neo? If so I'll take it off your hands... You can't just "tune through the ECU"... You will need a chipped ECU to provide it with a tune.

If I was you, I would keep the neo on and use it to tune yourself. Make sure the neo is properly wired up, at first... Add a gradiant up to 7% fuel at 7200 rpm, and there is your tune. Works better if you have a wideband to tune off of so you know what your AFR's are like.

I/H/E and a tune on a neo should net you about 20-30 whp, so expect around 190 at the wheels.

If you want the afc, I will let it go. I am not looking for performance gains, just a car that runs. What would you offer on it?

Well I already have a SAFC2 and the only things I can do would be trades, but you don't want performance parts lol
