Swap H23-->F22B

Hello everybody,

i'm new on this forum. I am the owner of a 94' Prelude but, due to a failure of my H23 (non-Vtec), I will make a swap with a F22B of a japanese Prelude Si ... (the specs are almost the same --> DOHC - 160hp)

So any of you have already realized this swap?

My major issues are mainly:

_Does it need adapatation at the gearbox? (motor comes from a prelude with automatic transmission and mine is manual)

_Is there need adapatation at the motor bracket?

Thank you in advance for your help: D

Re: Swap H23-->F22B

So I just did this swap but it was into a 96 so I had to convert the motor to obd2 (nightmare). for the trans you will need to take the flex plate off the new engine and put your flywheel on it that's about it. You will not need to get any mounts its a direct drop in. To make it easy on your self change the water pump and timing belt while it's out of the car (I use one from an Integra gsr and water pump from a usdm f22b). Swap over your header and WHOLE intake manifold and all new gaskets. Use your old ac power steering and alternator brackets. Use your old oil sending unit and buy a new knock sensor (your old one WILL BREAK) THE new knock sensor goes right next to where the oil sending unit is located on the new engine (do not remove the oil sensor on the new engine it is an oil passage just leave it alone nothing plugs into it.also swap over your h23 crank pulley All parts except for timing belt side are h23a1
