Bought a used motor and it needs a refresh

So i purchased a used h22a1 that had 155k on it when it got pulled. The owner originally pulled the motor when he discovered a massive oil leak just after start up. He then pulled the motor to get a better picture of where the oil was coming from and after some research it was discovered the original balance shaft seal finally gave out. This seal has a known problem of coming out so Honda simply made a retainer to hold it in place. While the motor was out he got a offer on the shell and sold it.

Here's where i come in and pick up the motor. I did a through once over on the motor and everything seems to be very well maintained. The previous owner was a aircraft mechanic after all. Motor turned over smoothly by hand and everything seems to be in order.

So now onto addressing the motor before i install it into my Prelude that has a h23a1 that has a rod knock. I know i will need to get a seal and retainer to address the oil leak and replace the oil soaked timing belt. My question is what else is a investment worthy purchase to add to the list. The head and block were never separate so i believe the head gasket may be fine but i may just replace it just to be sure. i don't really want to go overboard and would like to keep the bill down but want to do the best job possible. Water pump maybe on my list but im not to sure about gaskets. I did do a full gasket kit on another Prelude before but that full kit runs somewhere around $300-$350 and im not sure it really needs all of the minor gaskets included in the full kit. Any help
