Icon8 Broken Seat?

I have a '92 prelude and the drivers seat is broken. It will adjust back and forth so my legs reach the gas and brake just fine, but the part that your back rests on just stays all the way back and will not lock in any "up" position. It's manageable for driving but definitely not comfortable. Are there any ways to fix this or will I really have to just buy some new seats? Thanks for any help!!!

Re: Broken Seat?

My son had that happen to his 91.

He put a 12 pack sized cooler behind the seat to hold it up. Then we found a screw had backed out and it was put back in the seat worked again.
The old one had stripped so we found one at the junkyard or something...

Look around for a random screw on the floor and a clean spot on the side of the seat where said bolt was..maybe you got lucky and that's all that's wrong.

Pretty much got flamed for driving like a jackass and was told to slow down. And I'll be damned, slowing down fixed it.
