Recommended upgrades?

I just bought a 1995 Prelude F22a1, and was wondering what I could do to squeeze a little more power out of it. It already has CAI, cams, and AEM exhaust. Im pretty new to this whole thing. Thanks!

Good suspension upgrades help keep that power to the road.

Re: Recommended upgrades?

Don't do nos on stock engine components, if you do you will most likely blow up your engine, and that's not fun.

Weight reduction always helps, ecu re-flash, better tires, tranny gear swaps, new pistons, force induction, or do engine swap.

or do all of the above with mods you have.

If your cai ends inside the engine bay, it draws in warmer air than if it goes all the way to the grill. Warmer air reduces your giddy up a little.

Nobody has mentioned switching your gear box to one that will wind out your engine sooner between gears.
Your overall top speed will be less at the red line but your 0-60 will noticably improve. Help take advantage of the low end 'thump' the engine has.

Those VTEC trannies like the M2F4 (4th gen VTEC) and the M2Y4 (5th gen base) would do that. Or that beloved M2B4 w/LSD is an option. Then if you switch to the H22 or VTEC H23, you've already got the gear box.
Now mounting the tranny to the car or axle fit will differ from what you have. You'd need to find those items as well.

The info is out there. You can go to places like rojack racing for gearing specs or sur trac for axle specs and compare your set up to others and decide how to go about it.

Re: Recommended upgrades?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I'll start with the ECU, then work on the suspension. Any suggestions for springs and shocks?

getting power out of an f22 is pointless without a turbo
