P0171 Code

I have a 1996 Vtec model with 250k miles and it now has P0171 and P0301 codes which is running too lean and misfiring on cylinder 1. Tried so far:

- oxygen sensor (but couldn't seat it all the way in)
- spark plugs/ rotor/ distributor/ wires
- fuel filter/injectors
- valve adjsustment
- PCV valve
- cleaned MAP sensor
- cleaned EGR valve

I had P0171 code about 8 months ago and I replaced 1st oxygen sensor that I couldn't screw all the way in into the exhaust pipe and covered the small gap with high temp RTV; RTV dried and shrunk and started coming off. Still gotta clean EGR ports but not 100% confident it will solve the issue. I really need a scanner that can read short and long term fuel trim to hunt this thing down. Anyone have any suggestions?
