Not enough clearance to remove brake booster

I've taken all the bolts/nuts/cotter pin off
brake booster has no clearance to come out with ease..
is there a specific way/trick or am I going to have to take apart the intake manifold?

Re: Not enough clearance to remove brake booster

figured it out for anyone else attempting- unscrew the hook that connects to the brake pedal, unscrew the bracket that holds the line going to the master clutch cylinder and there should be enough room for it to come out with the back of the booster facing towards the passenger side

Re: Not enough clearance to remove brake booster

When I was a lot younger a mechanic (at my work) told me to remove the 4 screws and disconnect the rod from the brake pedal.
He failed to mention the 'D' shape of the pedal connection point has to be installed first before tightening the four bolts. It's a (GM) way to prevent the rod from disconnecting from the pedal.

Hours later I stumbled onto that.

Next day I cursed that guy like a mule. "Whythef@#k did you not tell me this?!?!"
He laughed and stated some folks shouldn't be allowed to have tools.

I haven't done a Honda booster before, but say all this because you may have that same (or similar) issue when time for reassembly.
