Re: NEW TO THIS FORUM HELP.

Hey Migs, welcome to the forum.

As far as I know, Beaks do not make a rear lower tie bar for preludes, but there are plenty who do. There is OBX, Megan, ESP, Tanabe, Ultra racing (eBay special) and so on. I personally am not convinced of their worth, I'd rather spend my money on some good quality bushes instead.

There is not much in the way of aftermarket control arms for preludes either. Ingalls, Eibach, SPC and some others make adjustable ball joints for some extra camber but I don't think anyone has ever made a good adjustable upper control arm, the ones that are out there either have issues with hitting inside the suspension towers or are flimsy and break. Ingalls also make adjustable upper control arm mount bushes but these are only really necessary if chasing a herrafrush look. Being double wishbone suspension preludes don't really need much camber adjustment, it doesn't help cornering as the camber increases as the suspension compresses anyway. As far as lower arms go, I've never seen a commercially produced replacement one. The ones in preludes are not straight between the knuckle and the rear cross-member so I imagine an aluminium one would be quite difficult to produce and still make strong.

If you're looking for some good suspension mods to improve handling, preludes respond well to a heavier rear sway bar for one. Be careful with this one though, many (including myself) have ripped the sway bar mount out of the chassis rail by doing this. It pays to reinforce the mounts while you're in there. As I mentioned, a fresh set of bushes (be it OEM, harden rubber or urethane) will do wonders for your handling too.
