Re: 92 SI VTEC Swap Basket Case

Speedo = VSS.

It's a "Check ENGINE" Light, not a "Replace O2 Sensor" Light. There's around 2,000 different codes it could be throwing, and you decided to take a complete stab in the dark at one of them. Pull the code, than diagnose that code(s).
But I'm putting money on it's at LEAST throwing a Code 17.

A P13 is perfect for a relatively stock H22.

Fuel/temp gauge are notoriously breaking more and more. You got a dud.

Re: 92 SI VTEC Swap Basket Case

Well I figured it COULD be an O2 sensor because it is running rich and my 93 had the same problem until i changed out the O2 sensor. I cant even be sure that is a problem now because its stripped out! Whats the best way to check the codes?

I will find a new ECU. I do not trust this one as it looks like hell!

Thanks

Eddie

Re: 92 SI VTEC Swap Basket Case

To the forum Moderator.

Sorry for NOT reading the rules. I guess I posted in the wrong area! I have a problem with my Prelude I just bought. I thought I had some question in my post and not a 'I got a Honda blah, blah blah'. I don't know what I have here with this swap. I would like some help from someone that's done this swap and can give me some advise as what to look for.. I tried the wire jump for the codes and it does nothing. It has problems and I don't know where to start. I thought this was the place to get those answers

Thanks

Eddie
