Re: Pulls to the right hard when accelerating

Solution #1. Stop jumping on your accelerator. Should be a common sense solution.

Other than that does it always pull to the right? Have you replaced any components in the steering system lately? How long since you got an alignment?

Re: Pulls to the right hard when accelerating

Check your motor mounts. Also check your axle. But it sounds like a problem in the differential.

Re: Pulls to the right hard when accelerating

Yes it has always done that and I have not gotten an alignment since I've gotton the car. Also if I do a burn out to warm up my tires for a drag alway and I mean always the passenger side tire only breaks loose and I weight 145. Even if I have a passenger it still only does a one tire fire on the right. Could upper control arm ball joints cause the problem?

Re: Pulls to the right hard when accelerating

But Seriously... It IS somewhat attributed to the Coriolis Effect...

I jacked up my car last weekend trying to troubleshoot my Cruise Control and while my car was idling in gear and the wheel(s) were turning, ONLY the passenger tire was turning. I could get the driver side to turn by putting my foot on the tire and slowing it down, but the second I let off, the passenger tire sped up and the driver slowed down again. Not sure why that is, but i've seen this on a lot of cars, both front and rear wheel drive. I believe that all of the front wheel drive cars I have had have pulled to the right under hard acceleration.

Another thing, If the road is leaning to the right (Passenger side) the car will pull right as well. So unless you have a Limited Slip Differential, you are still going to feel the pull to the right.

Just to make sure it's just under acceleration, get your car up to speed on a flat, level road, put it in neutral and coast and let off the steering wheel. If it goes straight, then all is good.

Re: Pulls to the right hard when accelerating

Tore into the lude found out both upper control arms ball joints are bad. And left cv boot is missing. thank you guys for all the input. Btw any have any problem with their tail light light on the dash. When all the tail lights work even the side markers reverse and 3rd tail light all my lights work but that stupid light is on.

Re: Pulls to the right hard when accelerating

Did somebody put a spoiler on the car and replace the rear deck incandescent lamp with an led causing less draw, thereby causing the bulb out lamp to illuminate
