Help please. BRAKE LAMP warning light!

Hello guys, I got an issue today...

92 Prelude S

My both BRAKE LAMP and PARKING BRAKE lamp are on now. When Im starting the car they off, but after few brakings it turns on

Car brakes normally, braking fluid level fine, stop lights (all three) are working properly too.

Its kinda scary to drive with a red light telling BRAKE LAMP on

Please, any tip will be useful and apreciated.

Re: Help please. BRAKE LAMP warning light!

Step one-Ask a buddy to come out to your car and look at your brake lights.Step two-Ask said buddy which brake light is burnt out when you step on your brakes.Step three-go buy new bulb and install where burnt out brake light is.Step four-open beer and celebrate your brake light is now off :D!As for your e brake light coming on.If you have a cupholder pull it out and feel around down there check to see if the connection to your ebrake(little wire with an 90 degree metal peice) is not touching any sides in that tight compartment as this can usually set off the e-brake off.It was doing it to my Prelude.

Re: Help please. BRAKE LAMP warning light!

it may be the wiring or cap of your brake master cylinder may be going out. this happened to me once but all i did was clean the connectors and gave them a little pinch with some pliers to make sure they had a real tight fit with each other at the connection

Re: Help please. BRAKE LAMP warning light!

@enigmadiluted, thanks
as I said, my brake lights are ok, (taillights too)
also, I added some brake fluid and the problem stills there
also, I checked e-brake wire connection and it seems to be ok

then, seems like a failure is intermitent, cause yesterday the lights were ok. three times of aproximately ten times I turned the car on, the problem was no more

KT95 thanks, Ill check it

Re: Help please. BRAKE LAMP warning light!

Hondas heal themselves.

I am being 50% serious here. I swapped a Type-S steering whel into my '99. Something went awry with the clock spring because my turn signals stopped auto-cancelling. Annoyed, I went to find a new one. A couple days later I'm driving along and the signal clicked off by itself after a turn. I didn't notice it at first. I'm driving along and.. "wait a minute.. that shut off by itself!" It worked ever since.

I found my car always got a little weird and buggy around this time of year. Warm days, rapid cooling in the evenings, and cold nights. I think those rapid changes trick sensors and connections.
