Installed Ground control sleeves front has a fist size wheel gap

Like the title says

Yesterday I installed GC coil over sleeves on my stock struts and the back lowered fine but the front looks stock height still I can put my fist or 4 fingers from the top on the tire to the fender. The perch is all the way down as low as it goes. What gives? My tire size is 205/50/16 if that helps.

Re: Installed Ground control sleeves front has a fist size wheel gap

i dont see how you can do it wrong :/ its just pull the shock/strut take off the hat remove the spring then drop the coilover stack the spring on top swap the bottom of the hat with the ground control rubber piece put the hat back on and put it in like you took it out right? or are stock shocks/struts just longer than say tokico ones?

Re: Installed Ground control sleeves front has a fist size wheel gap

I thought you were supposed to spin the nut up, to compress the spring, which lowers the car?

did you happen to get the sleeves for the Koni shocks? and are the GC springs for the Prelude?

Did you put the fronts on the back and vice versa?

Incorrect Sir. When you tighten the spring it compresses and lowers the ride height. You have them set at maximum height with that setting. Spin them all the way up and tell us how it sits.

Re: Installed Ground control sleeves front has a fist size wheel gap

I can't tell if you guys are trolling or not..... lol

that MAY be true with coilovers that have top hats. However, this is not true in OP's case. The lower the screw the lower the car. The higher the screw the higher the car.

Re: Installed Ground control sleeves front has a fist size wheel gap

yeah i havnt tried it yet but that just doesnt make sense too me... if i raise the perch the spring will go up and the car will sit on a higher sitting spring... if i remove the the sleeve and the perch and let the spring sit on the strut the car is on the ground...

and the back is also on the ground but that perch is all the way down... ill try it this weekend though.
