Bumper or body kit?

So the previous owner hit a deer and broke the lower bar on the front bumper. It's not that bad, but what's left of the lower bar thing is being held on with duct tape and I'm trying to clean up the car's exterior look.
Should I go for a body kit or get a stock bumper and maybe a lip kit or something? I've never done any body mods, just looking for options and opinions.

If I go with a body kit: 1. what should I be looking for (besides not looking like a ricer) and 2. how hard is is to match paint color and install?

If I go with a new bumper: where the heck do I find one?

Thanks guys!

Ok 1, do what YOU want, most people will tell u to get a stock bumper and lip kit. If u find a nice body kit u like then go for it, but theres also lots of nice lips out there. Best place to get a oem bumper is a junkyard. If not then I would look around but heres a start Replace HO1000101V 92 96 Honda Prelude Front Bumper Cover Factory OE Style | eBay I do have a body kit for sale if u are interested.
Heres a pic of my lip:

If I were u, I would just surf the web, look at a bunch of different lips and body kits and pick what YOU like the best, not what anyone else likes. Do keep us posted on what you do

O and I forgot to mention if ur looking at body kits I would go with Duraflex because its made out of polyurethane, way more durable than fiberglass.

Re: Bumper or body kit?

Thanks for the input, right now I'm leaning towards an oem bumper, but 300 is a good deal for a full duraflex kit, you can pm me pictures poko

Re: Bumper or body kit?

Sorry to **** up a possible sale but dura flex kits are ass, I had the r33 front bumper on my car for 2 weeks and it cracked because of its own weight it's fiberglass too so nothing like what they were showing on their websites.... I got a replacement kit returned it, sold the other kit made double my money back lol. If you wanna go with any body kit don't go cheap, and get it professionally installed not from a body shop, a custom shop...

But remember fitment is ****...

I looked at your build thread, are you talking about the black kit shown in a few pictures on page two? Just curious :)

Also, if a body kit should be professionally installed, is an oem bumper going to be similar in difficulty to install?

Re: Bumper or body kit?

Oem bumpers are easy to install because the correct fitment is there... Body kits have ****ty fitment and yea that black bumper is what I was talking about. The only thing I would say you'd be safe getting is aftermarket side skirts. Other than that oem bumpers with lips, unless you dish out a lot of money and properly install the body kit.

Re: Bumper or body kit?

Duraflex is now making em out of polyurethane, do confirm that it is polyurethane u are ordering though if u go that route, and I had almost PERFECT fitment on my body kit, yes a few modifications had to be made but that was ok, I did it myself as well and always got compliments on the fitment... but now im rolling clean with the lip kit
