Broke a pcv valve on top of EVAP canister

lol ((

today I was replacing all vacuum lines by new ones on my 4th gen, and accidentaly broke a small plastic thing on top of EVAP can (it had a hose connected to it from intake manifold, the smallest one)... Itīs says PCV on top of this thing...

look at the pic, so I broke a yellow one
however, itīs NOT MY CAR pic

so, now itīs just venting fumes to engine bay?
or donīt venting at all

how bad is it?
I heard of some people deleting EVAP at all?
itīs recommended? what pros and contrs?
