New pic and a question

My lude has a H23A1 engine. May be a dumb question, but it IS interference, right? (Like my front plate?)

Ya, the plate is cool. Everyone around here is packing heat. Zero crime. As to the belt I am sched that for a couple weeks from now. Prev owner cared a lot as it has a slew of good things like acc belts and dist cap and wires etc, but many dont think of the TB like that.

Many dont wanna think about the timing belt replacement...
Either way your ****ed

1. Shop takes $700-1000 to do it

Re: New pic and a question

Pcr: Give a guy like that your businees when need be. Matter of fact get your inspections done there.

You put a few $ in the pocket of an honest working man... and he'll do you right.

I started going to a fellow I knew was a good joe for inspections and some simple stuff like oil changes for my truck a few years back.... over time he cuts deals, lets me bring my own (new) parts and alerts me when he sees pending problems. He sees my vehicles from underneath... I don't.
When another customer decided to sell his red 3g, he told me about it, and two days later I bought an old but pampered car for peanuts.

Point being, don't just take it in for the hard stuff... but each year at inpection time buy wiper blades from the guy, have him change the oil that day and ask if you can watch while he fixes other stuff like that timing belt. a good mechanic loves to pass on the skills to those who want to know.

Love the car.. plate and all.

150 is a good price for a few hours labor, or less if he is good.
Either way you get a good quick job done, or a good slow job done. Works 4 me !

All good except for the space. I have come to realize my beloved will not be able to continue as a daily driver for me. I am going to have to sell it and get something with a bigger back seat. And trunk. :-(
