Popping noise from rear end?

I have a very loud popping noise coming from my rear end when I hit bumps and Im beginning to suspect its my struts.. But im no expert when it comes suspension work at all. Can anyone give me some pointers on checking my suspension to see whats really worn and needs to be replaced? Thanks.

Check your shocks..
Have a buddy bounce the car while you observe in the wheel well.
Twist the wheel back n forth, checking for wobble, and inspect all your bushings. Could be a bushing is squashed or failing.

Re: Popping noise from rear end?

Its been the greatest mystery to me and my 97 for something like 5 years now. I finally thought I had found that noise when I found the upper control arm bushing pancaked and I changed out the whole arm.
Didnt fix the noise in the very least bit.
