Parts car, should I buy it?

I haven't gotten a whole ton of info, but basically this guy is selling his shell. It comes with no motor/trans, no hood, and no fenders. I believe it was a 5 speed car. He says it has full interior, and he'd give me a DC header with it too. I'm gonna ask for some pics tomorrow.

I can pick it up for $250. Seems like a pretty good deal to me. What do you guys think??

prelude SHELL!* or parts *****

Re: Parts car, should I buy it?

Yea pick it up, part it out, use what you can. You can also send me some more parts as payment on the tranny I'm selling you instead of cash lol

I bought a parts car for $350 running and didnt sell anything really motor wise or trans, and it was auto and I made $1500+ PROFIT and I'm still selling parts.

Total cost of car with trailer, gas, title, etc, was $550 so I've made total of $2050+ off that car...

Alright haha sounds good guys. I think I'm gonna pick it up as soon as I can. Car's about an hour away. He said it was an S model, which is cool with me. Waiting on the guy to send me a couple pics and then I'll probably arrange to go get it

If you got the space/tools for it, why not?

Because he types out "MOSTRLY"

Make that work to your advantage, lol

LMAO. Yea, I read through the post and I think a few brain cells died, but I figure as long as I can get it cheap, I don't really care how dumb the owner is.

As a circle track racer, I'm used to having a bunch of cars lying around on my property lol.

Re: Parts car, should I buy it?

Alright, so I went and picked up the car today. It was a Mexican guy and his brother. They had at least 10 cars in the driveway including 2-3 Del Sols, the Prelude I bought, another 4th gen, a couple Integras, one or two other Hondas, and a Blazer.
It is a 1993 BB1 =]
Paid $250 for it.

Pros:
VTEC rear center speaker
VTEC front brake calipers/drilled/slotted rotors
5 speed w/ all components but motor/trans mechanically
^including computer/wiring harness I believe is complete
Seemed to roll nice and smooth
Brand new tail lights (smoked style, I like them quite a bit.)
Interior is in pretty nice shape overall, nothing really messed up

Cons:
Rust on the rear quarters
No front fenders, nose, or hood
Wheels/tires didn't come with (had ITRs on it.)
Speedometer is sitting in the seat for some reason
Missing side skirts
Sunroof rusted through

I'll know more about it and post pics once I get a chance to look really close at everything in the light without being in a hurry tomorrow. I still think I did pretty good for $250. I plan on making it a dirt/asphalt circle track car if I can get a decent deal on a motor/trans in the future.
