best choice for my 96 lude sisi

I just got my 96 lude si h23a1 and only want to spend 1500 tops. My dad is ase cert mechanic so labor cost is not needed. But i am torn between 3 options.
1. Rebuild h23 ballance and blueprint port and pollish already have header aem short ram and full apexi n1 exaust. Then turbo 10-12 psi street tune.
2. Drop a sir accord jdmJdm h23 vtec.
3. Or drop h22a4.
Out of the 3 what would be my best option

Drop the JDM H23, build that, and huck a turbo on it. Either that or option number one

Re: best choice for my 96 lude sisi

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha Bykfixer you damn mamma's boy! Haha!

Anyway, for $1500 just like he told you..you will get an engine that doesn't last beyond it's break-in period because you didn't save up and spend the money to do it right. The only thing you can do properly for that cost is renew your current motor of bearings, gaskets, seals, piston rings and a hone, as long as everything internal is still in good shape. If you need a bore, well, there goes your budget on that.

Sooooo...half of option number one was what you have the money to do the right way.

And don't join up on here being a prick right out the gates or nobody's gonna want to help you, no matter how sarcastic an answer a tenured member gave you to begin with. In reality, he is exactly right.

Re: best choice for my 96 lude sisi

First:
You came off acting cocky 'cause your dad is some kinda ase mechanic... not you are an ase mechanic...
Second:
You threw out the $1500 like you are going to show everybody how fookin' awesome you are gonna do up your car for about a third of what a decent project would cost if you do it, but it sounds like your dad will...

Then you ask us to give you parts? And I'm being a douche?
Ok....
Here's a car that has 700.. notice his tune kicks in turbo in stages for reliability

Thanks Linso...
Hadn't been called that lately...

Hehe, sorry brother, I just couldn't help but laugh because... well it's one of the most retarTed things someone can call someone else. Like throwing a daisy at someone with your non-dominant arm with the intent to hurt them.

Re: best choice for my 96 lude sisi

You should #1 get an h23vtec plus minor rebuild, save up some more money for proper rebuild, or performance parts also if desired. Drop in h23a, take out h23a1, rebuild and sell or save for future...

#2 stop being a daddy's boy, hop off your dads dick, go get yourself an ASE certification, do the work yourself.....

Re: best choice for my 96 lude sisi

If he'd have not said those things and told oldrusty to stop wasting his time but give 'him' his motor...

I don't normaly get wise-@ss with the newbs.. but everynow and then some show with an attitude the world owes them for gracing it with their presence...

Oldrusty is workin' his @$s off trying to fix his 4th up and has undertaken issues 99% of us wouldn't wish on our enemy.
I don't say this to justify my actions at all. I stooped to op's level for a moment and played by his rules.

true, you can buy a variety of different performance parts for less than $1500 a piece that will run very well together
However, you cannot buy one of those parts that work great together and split them up and run them alone, not very smart.... hence your $1500 budget....

BUT, you just mentioned your performance parts and how you wanna take on all the muscle cars y0

Street Dreams for $1500, have you learned anything over the years watching your ASE certified dad, or were you just sitting in the corner beating off?

just get some bolt ons so this doesnt happen

although daddy can save you...

Re: best choice for my 96 lude sisi

if I were you I would buy a bad H22 motor and buy all aftermarket parts for it. Thats what I did I found a bad H22 motor for 250 on craigslist and built it up.
