wiring help for door locks
I been trying to hook up power door locks for a lil while now. The car has manual locks but I have the switches and actuators from my old lude and picked up a dei 451 module which should be all the relays I need. I also have a viper alarm installed which the 451 has a clip that plug into the alarm. Anyway I plugged it into the alarm, ran a 12v constant to the purple wire, connected the blue n green from the 451 to the actuator, n the last 2 brown n white wires are ground. Tested the alarm n got nothing.
Then I tried to wire the switch and bypass the alarm for now. I know the switch is all ran from grounds so I took the brown n white from the 451 n wired them to the rd/gr n grn/wh from the switch n grounding the black from the switch. Still got nothing. So I tested the actuator n it works then tried running a 12v to the black on the switch. I know that's not right but if I ground 1 of the other 2 wires I can get it to unlock or lock depending on which is grounded. If I ground them both it seems like there's not enough power to activate the actuator. It makes a small click sound but no movement. Idk where I'm going wrong here and was hoping someone could help me out. I attached a pic of the 451 with all wire descriptions to understand what I connected.
