Still hasn't went away...

Ok, I've went through all 300 pages of this 4th gen section and read all the hesitation/bogging down posts but most really don't have any answers to the problem I'm having.

I have a 95 with jdm h22a swap, m2a4 tranny, 55k miles
Replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, dizzy cap & rotor, o2 sensor, k&n air filter, seafoam treatment, checked all vacuum lines, cleaned egr valve and ports, and fuel filter.

I was getting the CEL code 43 (fuel supply system) and I replaced the o2 sensor with a denso replacement and the CEL is gone but I'm still having this intermittent issue, when I initially start the car it runs great, has lots of power and no hesitation, but once the car is heated up it has the hesitation and loss of power through the 2-4k rpm range, sometimes it hesitates more than others and sometimes it doesn't do it at all. When it does hesitate the rpms keep rising with no fluctuating but there is def a loss of power.

Re: Still hasn't went away...

Take out IACV and FITV from intake manifold and clean those out too.

I have the same issue and positive the problem exists on the intake manifold somewhere...going to pull those two things out today, inspect, clean and post back here if it solves it.

Re: Still hasn't went away...

Not sure if cleaning those would help, my lude is not having any idle issues it just seems that when in open loop the problem doesn't exist but once heated up and I'm closed loop the car has this intermittent problem

Wait, no idle issues at all?

Either way this guide might help:

Re: Still hasn't went away...

Iacv etc also determines fuel ratios at speeds too.
In the idle thread there are tips to help diagnose the issue by putting your finger over particular holes and resulting changes in idle indicate which unit is at fault... if that's your issue.
I'm guessing you distributor is having trouble advancing at times.
Also ensure all your grounds are well connected.

Re: Still hasn't went away...

An update of what I did today. I pulled off the map sensor and cleaned it, replaced all vacuum lines. Removed iacv and cleaned it as well. I also removed the throttle body and it was so gunked up with black greasy stuff. Cleaned it as well as some of the intake manifold.

Now the car sounds better and even idles smoother than it did, I ran the car and it seems like the hesitation wasn't as strong. I will update tomorrow when I can drive it more and see how it runs.
