Re: another noob

Welcome to the prelude world. And welcome to prelude zone.

Some day your photos will magically show up.

This may not sound sexy, but get yourself a basic tool kit, download a service manual from the diy section here and learn the maintenance.
After a few months of basic maintenance will teach you more than you know. Shortly you'll be ready to teach us a thing or two.

Re: another noob

It's like blood in the shark tank when you call yourself a noob around here. While everyone isn't born all knowing, calling yourself a noob is somewhat irritating rather than humbling. Unlike other forums, were not gonna spam your first 20 pages with

Cause you're new. Digest your owner's manual first, get the sears 114pc tool kit, do the DIY repairs in there first, despite whether or not the mileage says to, (unless you have proof the work was done already)

There should be a sticky that says:

"NEVER LEAD OFF YOUR INTRO THREAD WITH ANY FORM OF NEWBIE, NOOB, NEWB, NEWBULAN, NEWISH, OR NOOOB-O-TRON, UNLESS THAT IS YOUR NAME."

"If you put yourself down, how are you gonna stand up to the monsters of this world?"

Welcome and post more pics as soon as you can! Here's a freebie: choose photobucket or tinyurl for the pictures.
Then use the icon in the message box that looks like a stamp of a mountain with a moon.
Enter the url of the image there.... Post the message with pics

Re: another noob

What is this tool kit? I've been turning wrenches on cars (autobody repairs) for a living for 20 years and not new to that. I have tools. I am new to Honda V-TEC

Re: another noob

See.... newb doesn't even apply here.
Novice? New to Honda? Whatever.

This place is a great place to learn about your new playtoy.

My basic Honda kit was a door panel puller, universal screw driver, good 1/4" drive with metric sockets, both 6 n 12 pt, a bunch of extensions and universals. I now have 3/8 stuff, a clicker and a beam torque wrench, dental picks and a bunch of stuff you likely already have.

Lurk the diy, members rides and stuff like that for some tips and ideas.

Re: another noob

Great! Post pics of you past rides then. We love CARS, not just hondas. Do you see where I'm coming from? Noob is a bad word man, too many times people we call newb don't even know which dipstick is oil, transmission or power steering. So welcome, my name is chris and hope your stay here is pleasant fellow mechanic

Re: another noob

Welcome to PZ! So you picked up a 1993 VTEC? I'm at work so pics won't load, but congrats on your purchase, I hope you enjoy the hell out of it. Got any plans for it?

Party on, Wayne!
