Ok guys so I've been having this bogging down issue in the lower rpm range, so I was reading around old posts and someone said to unplug your egr valve and see if it still bogged down. So I unplugged my egr and it drove great no bogging down once so ever, fast throttle response. It threw the egr code of course but is this my problem, a bad egr valve?

Re: Egr question
Best thing to do is clean the valve with carborator/choke cleaner, then also clean your EGR ports. There is a good right up in the DIY section, you can go to your local Honda dealership to get them. I never could find them online so dealership is your best option. They are cheap, I think I spent around $4 or $5 for 10 of them. Hope this helps

Re: Egr question
I have already cleaned the egr valve but haven't tackled cleaning the ports yet. After a week of the egr valve being cleaned for 2 days in a row it did throw the code 12 (egr) and it hasn't thrown it since.

Re: Egr question
Yeah...you'll need to do both to clear the codes. You also have to make sure that actual valve is working. To go along with the write up in the DIY Section, there's also a YouTube video that really helped me when I did it. I didn't end up having the tools to do the ports, so I took it to a friend to do. But if you have the tools, I'd go ahead and do those as well.
