MAP and Vacuum lines.

WARNING: I'M NOT A CAR PERSON

So, I just picked up a 93 prelude Si. The problem is, the previous owner doesn't seem to have known what they were doing. It looks like they tried to tune it up, but failed in several areas. When I got it, the TPS was disconnected, I reconnected it to find a horrible idol problem, it alternates between high and low idol at running temp, at cool idol it will just die out.
I had to bleed the clutch, looks like a brand new master cylinder was put in but not bleed afterwards so the pedal would stick right to the floor.

Anyway, I'm not convinced all the vacuum lines are hooked up correctly. There is one coming off the throttle body that is capped off (with a screw). I'm not sure if it went to the cruise control or not (that has been removed). And from what I'm looking at in the helms, the other hose coming off the cold air intake should go to the Starting Air Valve, but it's going directly to the throttle body.

I've checked the codes and I'm getting a 3, 5, and 23. I was getting 7 until I hooked the TPS back up. I know 3 and 5 are for the MAP, and 23 is the Knock sensor. Any suggestions on troubleshooting would be helpful. I've gone over the helms, but don't have a test harness for a majority of the electrical tests, and need to get my hands on a vacuum testing (unless you have suggestions)

Thanks in advanced.

Re: MAP and Vacuum lines.

Okay, I found the FINAL Idle problems thread. I'm going to bleed the coolant and clean off the FITV and IACV to see if it helps with my idle problem tonight. I still suspect the MAP may be bad but don't have the tools to test the electrical other then at the 3P connector itself, I do have a multimeter. I've also printed off the vacuum diagram for the H23A and will see if I can't figure that out tonight as well.

I would still appreciate any input for the more seasons guys out there.

Re: MAP and Vacuum lines.

You sound like you're on your way to figuring it out. You know how to pull CEL's/find out what they mean, you got the vac diagram, and a DMM is one of the most valuable tools when diagnosing electrical problems.
You're already doing better than 99% of everyone else who makes a thread and simply says "HELP, I HAVE A CEL, WTF DO I DOOOOO!?!?! "

And in case you haven't done so already, I'd download the factory service manual, located in the FAQ thread stickied at the top of the 4th gen section

Let us know if there's anything else you need.

Re: MAP and Vacuum lines.

Thank you, I try to do things on my own first before asking for help. I have downloaded the helms manual.

So, quick update. I did find that the vacuum lines were all routed wrong. Fixed that and it made a huge difference. I took off my IACV and cleaned it out with some carb cleaner, but that didn't help my idle any.

I went to take off the FITV...but it's not there. I confirmed I have a H22A engine, but there is no FITV on the underside of the throttle body. It doesn't look like it was blocked off either, there is still a coolant hose going to the TB where the FITV should be, but no FITV. Is it possible the wrong TB was put on?
