Wiper switch issue

Lately my windshield wiper switch has sunk a bit, like it's slightly detached from its mount. If I hit a big bump, sometimes it'll fall to the point that the wipers will activate, but if it's down like that and I turn the wipers on, they won't work unless I manually move the switch up to its normal position. Anyone ever had this problem, and how would I go about fixing this?

Re: Wiper switch issue

Hit up a picknpull and get a new switch assembly. I had a lude that the wiper switch was completely broke off the steering wheel. When i needed to use the wipers i plugged it in and had to turn them on low or high. I couldnt push it down for a single wipe.

if you have a local wrecking yard its about $20 or more depending on the area. or find someone who`s parting out a prelude. it might take you about an hour to replace it but be careful on the airbag.

Thanks. I know of two junkyards here that have 4th gens in them right now, so one of them should still have it.

Re: Wiper switch issue

Yep, pick n pull basically. I tried the super glue method and ghetto rigged it, but that only lasts so long.
