Skunk 2 intake on an f20b

So I have the opportunity to pick up an h22 Skunk 2 Pro series intake for 50$.My question is how much will my low end tq suffer from it on an F20b. I have read that it only had gains above 5000rpms yet the Skunk 2 site I believe said above 3000rpms. I figured it would mate well with my F20b swap since the engine revs very high compared to an H22. I just don't want to have a really ****ty lower end tq spectrum. Right now I'm running a H23 Obd1 intake with the butterflies deleted. And yes it'll be tuned for it. Any help is appreciated thanks!

Re: Skunk 2 intake on an f20b

f20b doesnt really rev higher than h22

so you dont have f20b intake manifold? I believe its the same manifold what type s has.. factory ported stock h22 manifold

skunk2 is ok IM and it works just like skunk2 advertises: it doesnt reduce low end tq but the gains start only above ~3000. Im pretty happy with it

with stock h22 IM, the IM doesnt offer enough air you to rev to rev limiter (or I mean its much harder) but with skunk2 theres no problem with that

when people put too big tbs with that IM they see that their low end suffers but thats just because of that poor tb choice

Okay it has to rev higher to make its power, as in the powerband is higher in the rev range lol. And cool I guess there's no harm in trying it for 50$ eh? I'll let you guys know the results, should be getting it Saturday.

Ik and ik lol. I was wondering how much of a difference it makes lol. And to the guy who said it needed to be tuned to work right, I said it'd be tuned for it lol.

I always say this: changing just one part doesnt make MUCH difference. some yes but if you truly want to notice the difference you have to build whole engine over again with better parts

so this would be a good time to get good header and exhaust as well? and then tune them all together?

Re: Skunk 2 intake on an f20b

Here's what I have that I needed to make "tuning" adjustments for. My timing is advanced, I put in a block off plate for the butterflies in my intake, put on a CAI(IK IT DOESN'T CHANGE MUCH) did headers and a full exhaust. I tuned it on a Apexi VAFC II. So all that will need dialed in will be that intake. Sorry if I didn't explain that before.
