14 mm timing belt cover bolt

I'm in the process of removing the ludes head and found that the 14mm bolt in the middle holding the timing belt cover is stripped to hell...

anyone got any ideas on how to take it off??

edit: will be getting this tomorrow.

Re: 14 mm timing belt cover bolt

that 14mm you are speaking of, is the adjustment bolt for the tensioner. It should have a rubber grommet around it, aka you don't need it to come off to take the cover off.

oh ok, I just didn't want to break anything

I'm replacing the timing belt/tensioner/water pump as well
I'll take it off tomorrow and buy a new bolt

Re: 14 mm timing belt cover bolt

took the timing belt cover off but now I need to replace my tensioner and it won't come out...any ideas? it's stripped to the point where 14mm just slides and 13 mm is too small..

also my egr valve 12 mm screws are stripped... any ideas on them too?
