Need help!

I am putting a new stereo and door speakers in my 94 lude. I'v came across two problems.
1. The front door speakers do not work. My head unit will say miswired if I connect the wires to the harness. It is not the speakers nor have I miswired it. I'm guessing it's a short somewhere.
2. I have these 3 adapters behind me stereo and they are not plugged in, I can't find anything on what they may be for.

Any advice or info. Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Need help!

1. Just a thought...what if you reverse the polarity on the speakers?

2. Got pics of these adapters?

Re: Need help!

Speaker polarity will not give you a short, just an out of phase condition that will not sound optimum. Perform resistance checks on your speaker wiring and speakers for shorts.

Sounds more like a basic wiring issue with the new head unit to the original wiring. Perform a search on the PZ site for a manual for your particular year.
Stereo section is 23-206. This should help you answer your questions and get your system working. You may need to wire in a "harness converter" between the existing wiring and the new "head unit".

*****Be careful working in these area's with power on, you DO NOT want to deploy an air bag by accident.*****
