such a good day to own a prelude!

I went to the junk yard to see what the prelude had left and to my suprise, it had three out of four stock floor mats, the pass front being the missing one, and almost perfect carpet! $15 for carpet and $1 each for floor mats!! Im hoping to find pass floor mat somewhere laying around. Lol

Re: such a good day to own a prelude!

In the 2+ years I've had a 4th gen, I've seen 6 4th gens in junkyards total. Lost count of how many 3rds I've seen in that time frame.

Re: such a good day to own a prelude!

I've seen one of every trim level for both 3rd and 4th gens in junkyards. Plenty of 2.0Si's (mostly 88-89), one 3rd gen S, some 3rd gen Si's (at least one ALB), a 3rd gen 4WS that's still listed on the junkyard's website, 3 4th gen S's, one 4th gen Si, one 4th gen 4WS, and one 94 VTEC with cloth interior. Both 5th gens I saw were automatics.

Re: such a good day to own a prelude!

Any day is a good day to own a Prelude. Finding one in the junkyard is a bitter/sweet deal. Sweet for parts, but one less Prelude in in the world in about 30 days at many junkyards.

$6.99 @ advance. It's a temporary cupholder you slide down in the crack and under the seat when not in use.

I've gone to three. Ecology has 4 4th gens and a sh*t tone of 3rds. My best score was at aaa auto wrecking on 19th and broadway but he's over priced as ****. They're around. Where abouts are you?

I'm right next to 101 and baseline in mesa. I've been going to pick n pull, but i actually just looked at their inventory and they have 2 4th gens at the phoenix pick n pull and 2 4th gens at the pick-a-part in chandler! I'll have to check them out and see if anything good is still left on them

Re: such a good day to own a prelude!

Just headed to a junkyard 4 minutes north of me and zero Preludes. No luck for me =( But good there's none that have been sent to their grave there recently I guess.

A LOT of 240sx, 300zx, EG Civics and CB/CD Accords though.

As for PnP inventory in my city has one each of 2nd gen and 4th gen.

Re: such a good day to own a prelude!

I have yet to hit up my local junk yard but after seeing this post I'll be sure to check it out. I'm missing that cloth panel on the passengers side of the floorboard next to the center. Not sure what it's called but fellow 5th gen owners should know what I'm talking about. Not sure if it's on older ludes.
