ok guys im a new b so dont judge me hahaha but im stuck, i had a previous 92 honda prelude base model 4th gen and that happens to be wrecked at the moment... so i bought a 93 sir 4ws shell problem is.. the 4ws i really want to keep it but i dont have any wireing for it and the guy i bought it from told me it was begining to mess up some how... dont know why but for now since money is a little tight im planning on removing it and then get it to work in the future i dont exactly know whats wrong with it and all the info he gave me was useless so heres my question... what do i have to do to remove it and is there anything special i have to watch out for???? please help

Besides the control unit in the trunk, if you really want to remove the whole system, you'll need to swap the rear suspension over from your wreck. The 4WS rear suspension is set up with tie rods and knuckles to allow the rear wheels to steer. The fail safe is supposed to lock them straight ahead if the system's not working -- haven't heard of a failure, so it's up to you whether you go that far.

Like jamie said replace the whole rear suspension with a regular one, it is completely different

I did this a couple years ago. You take out the 4ws unit and replace it with a non 4ws rear cross member. There is a stabilizer that goes in between the cross member and the knuckle that goes in right where the 4ws tie rods come out of. That's basically it, I capped the wires so that when I have the time/money I can troubleshoot the problem.
