JDM ITR Recaro Seats

All right guys, need some opinions.

I am debating between the Red and Black JDM DC2 ITR Recaros. Car interior is all leather, so dark at the moment. At first I was set on the dark ones...but the red ones have grown on me a little, and much much easier to find...and cheaper.

Also debating only replacing the driver seat, leaving the stock "bucket seat" for passenger comfort?

Let me know what you think!

Re: JDM ITR Recaro Seats

I'm a smaller framed guy ( 6 foot tall 180 with a 32 inch waste ) and the seats fit me very well. If you have any bigger friends ( fat or fit ) they'll hate those seats. So if you don't mind the unmatched look I say get one. Btw I have a lower drivers side seat frame for our car but you would need to have them build the sliders for the recaros. I'll check the brand when I get home ( the name is evading me right now. )

ITR recaros looks good but not as comfy as our oem had them on my integra Da its the red recaros i mean if you want a cool looking seats its recaro but if you want comfort oem. but its up to you if you ask me i dont have any passenger so i just recently bought the summit racing seats which is i bought it for $70 a pair which is good price considering they`re $150 a piece and still waiting for my seat brackets i ordered weapon R.

same here too the red ones looks ok but it fades quickly i didnt really care back then because i bought mine from an old guy that had a civic 98 coupe and he is our regular customer so i asked him one day if he likes it he told me he didnt liked it so i asked him if i could buy a stock ones then i`ll give him 200 on top he said yeah sure i love to do that because i dont like red seats lol. anyways i thought they`re fake ones but i went to a shop in LA with my cousin all the workers there said i`ll buy your seats i was like why? one guy told me its the original recaro seats so i sold it that day for $800 with 2 seat brackets Da and civic ek rails.lol and i went home with a stock civic ek seats instead lol.

anyways yeah im getting a new seats soon i`ll might get bride seats or the sparco seats black ones lol. my boy here is selling a pair of brides for $400 hopefully he doesnt sell it this week cuz i get paid next week lol.

Your car is black, bro!
Red stitches on black all the way!!

Still think the black leather ones you got look good.
Why exactly are you swapping, if you don't mind me asking?

But, it's your car, so ultimately it's what you like and are willing to pay for that matters :)

Those bright red seats will say 'steal me' from 50 yards away. Black doesn't jump out at you from so far away.

I agree about the black ones, hence my first choice. The reason I would like to replace them is currently the drivers seat is torn and warn out. I also like the look of driver race bucket seat, and passenger stock bucket seat. I know some people think this is ghetto, or that you could only afford one seat. But I like the look of it, and since most of the passengers in my car are females, I would like to leave a little comfort for them since the suspension already makes it a rough ride

Re: JDM ITR Recaro Seats

check out my build thread in my signature to see a good idea of the black ones, you may or may not find some good pic's of them on the inside and how they look on the outside in our 4th gens specifically. check out team overdosed prelude to see them in red, I have the black with red stitch, and somewhere in his thread hes rocking the red seats (type in: overdosed prelude in google). I personally like both; furthermore, the main reason I didn't go red is I felt the color took away from the rest of the car (for example) like bykfixer said. "you can see them seats coming from 50 feet away" well imagine it at a stop/car show/ you name it... You may notice somethings clean paint, but then red seats and despite how much you do to the interior when they check out the interior the seats can be somewhat distracting to the eye (naturally) however, the black is settle and still flows with interior well (well atleast mine with all the red stitching boot and e-brake and wheel...) I hope this makes sense and I've considered dc5 red recaros but I know a lude on here recently did red dc5's and Idk it made me kindof rest my case. dont get me wrong it looks phenominal! but just takes away from alot of the interior and really is the first thing I notice when I look at the pics (which to some may not be a bad thing) hope that helps but then again its just an opinion with your car (being that its black) either way you wont mess up and it'll look great personally think red/ or black recaros flows great with black cars.

matter of fact recently found the dopest prelude ever! fits what your looking for perfect!!! and if it helps this lude is long gone man he parted it out a while back so dont think youll be jocking someones mess lol, sold the seats rails and sliders for I believe 1100$ which was his asking price idk if he got it but I wanted the mugen m7's lol

Re: JDM ITR Recaro Seats

Thank you much, page 6 and 10 had some nice pics.

I think I will stick with the dark ones, unless I can get the red's for really really really stupid cheap.

Thanks for the insight, +rep

Re: JDM ITR Recaro Seats

I'm fat as hell (42 waist), and though I do find the ITR seats a bit uncomfortable at first, I love how supportive they are.
