Installed fogs and not lighting up?

Well I spent few hours installing my fog lights I did everything , replaced with new bulbs too . Had a extra relay fuse from eBay rsx fogs ( 4 prong 40 amp) plugged that in to the correct spot ( not security harness)

Turned to accessory and switched on lights pressed the fog switch , it lights up green and nothing ... I'm very frustrated does anyone know what the deal is.. Could it be a fuse?

Car had some ****ty Piaa fogs before not sure if owner before unplugged something?

What year Prelude? Like, switch on the tweeter, or in the center console? If you have the console switch, is it USDM or JDM?

Re: Installed fogs and not lighting up?

You have to have the headlights on for the fogs to come on. Not sure if you knew this but just wanted to be helpful. Also, what's the part number on the relay you're using?

Re: Installed fogs and not lighting up?

It's a 95 center console jdm switch , not sure about part number but it fit in there perfectly .

Yup had the headlights on , switch wont light up if headlights aren't on .

Re: Installed fogs and not lighting up?

You sure you got the jdm switch wired properly? I know it's only got three wires but hey, they don't match the usdm wire harness so it happens.

Re: Installed fogs and not lighting up?

If the wires Wernt wired properly , would the switch still light up? I assume only negative wire would make the switch light up .

If someone could do me a huge favour and take a picture of the back if their jdm switch to show where the wires pinned up to in the switch , would be great .

I got my brother to re pin the wires with longer wires and he labeled them too. Just want to see if he made a mistake

Re: Installed fogs and not lighting up?

Well if you have it wired like that, it shouldnt be the switch.

Re: Installed fogs and not lighting up?

Ok i tried again today and when I hit the switch I hear a click right away near the interior fuse area ? Is that just the fuse firing up?

I looked up at the relay again and notice a connector that looks like the rear speaker connectors (2 prong conector i think) wrapped in blue tape right above it . Is it suppose to be plugged in some where?

Re: Installed fogs and not lighting up?

Damn , now I'm thinking the fog light harness that plugs into the lights are dirty or something .. I wonder if I should try and clean it ?

I'm still curious what is the random blue taped plug is for above the relay

Re: Installed fogs and not lighting up?

Would a 40 amp relay be the problem?
Where can I find the foglight ground?
