F22 in '93 Prelude SI?

Hey guys/gals, I'v been wanting to buy a nice 5 speed since my buddy started beefing up his '97 accord and, well long story short I was browsing craigslist for "under $700" (because thats all I have) and ran across what seems like a good deal on a '93 prelude. Now to start off I am no mechanic and know almost nothing about Imports. So I find this prelude and its a nice looking car other than some minor rust above the wheel wells (normal for that old of a car here) the interior is cherry other than a small tear in the drivers seat, all of this seems worth the $650 the guy wants. The one thing I'm not sure about is the motor is gone but the guy has an F22 with 70,000 miles out of an accord to put in it, sounds good still.. but as I said I know nothing about these cars so I don't know if the motor will drop right in like the guy says. so after all that rambling I ask, Can I put an F22 engine from an accord in a Prelude (with the prelude trans) without modifing the car/motor?

Thanks,
Ironman

Now dont quote me on this, but when i was looking for a cheap new engine PZ members were telling me to go with a f22, and that the f22 will fit in just fine in your lude.

Yes it will fit.

I have the busted block of an F22 from my son's 93 in the back of my pickup for weight and conversation starting.

OP: F22, H23, H22, H23vtec will all fit in your prelude. The transmission for each motor is interchangable among all those motors as well.

Good luck

Re: F22 in '93 Prelude SI?

I have a 93 SI with a F22 motor in it I use it for daily driving. I love my lude but its not as fast as a lude with a H23 or H22 motor in it (stock).
