Missing an Idle

I have a 95 SRV, So the other day i missed a shift (noob mistake i know ) and tapped the rev-lmiter around 7.5g rpm about twice. Ever since then my idle has been missing, but when driving it does not lack any power and doesnt miss. But the weird thing is when i unplug cylinder 1 the idle does not change at all and the engine continues to run... if i pull each one individually it stalls out.

I have replaced
Distributor cap
Distributor
spark plugs
spark plug wires

Any help would be great.

Re: Missing an Idle

For future reference, you should troubleshoot and ask questions before purchasing unnecessary parts, aka throwing parts at it. Its highly possible that you did damage to internals to a degree that has effected your compression.

X2 on the Compression check.

You can rent compression checkers from the main chain auto parts stores for a deposit they give you back upon returning the tool.
