Fog light switch connector???

I was bored so i thought i would try to find my fog light switch connector in my 92 RHD Lude.
So i'm looking for a 6 pin white connector, right?
Is it the only white connector in there cos i think i found it but i'm not too sure.

I can feel the circled white connector looking thing from the small hole behind the tweeter cover but i cant cant get a good hold of it.

Help would be great!

Re: Fog light switch connector???

Well, i was looking at this post Fog Light Installation HELP PLZ
And below the image of the tweeter cover it says..
Quote:
Here's the tricky part. I dont have a pic for this because i own a 94 lude, however 92-93 luders should reach into the open area behind the exposed tweeter cover and pull out a 6 pin white connecter BLUE taped to one of the console wiring harnass.

Re: Fog light switch connector???

Ok so, is it possible to get the 94-96 jdm fog switch to work with the green 92-93 plug??
Theres a few jdm switches on ebay now and they also come with a half mast switch and a fog light relay.
I just wanna make sure what im going to buy isn't a complete waste of money.

And i have been searching google with not much success

Re: Fog light switch connector???

No, the JDM switch is not plug & play with the 92-93 connector. That was the main reason I went with the tweeter switch instead. (Unfortunately due to different harnesses, my EL cluster swap caused me to lose use of my fogs for the time being). On my original 93 harness the fog harness is the only one in which the wires are not completely covered in tape. It's between the speedometer plugs and a blue plug that's taped onto the main harness. Took me about 10 minutes to fish out through the hole where the harness goes down from the tweeter toward the fuse panel.

side note, it is quite easy to mod the 94 and up dash harness to accept the 92-93 fog light switch plug. It just takes some unpinning and following of wires ( gloves are a nice thing to have with that nasty ass sticky tape honda uses )

Re: Fog light switch connector???

I'm looking into that. I think I found where it goes into the plug by the fuse box, but I think on the 94 harness I have some of those spots are taken on that plug.

Re: Fog light switch connector???

I had my 92 harness out with my 94&^ harness and none of the spots on the big grey plugs were taken. I took pics of the 92 plugs for reference befor I unpinned them. There is a ground that runs all the way across the harness (pass side) that goes into a mess of wires and two red wires that spilt off into different parts of the harness. It's fairly easy to do and it took me about an hour dealing with the sticky mess that it is.

Re: Fog light switch connector???

mmm that sticky mess... took me a while to wash it off my hands haha.

Yeah, wanna know which wires i need to pull out the 92-93 plug so i can put them in the 94+ jdm plug. After all isn't it just 3 wires??

Re: Fog light switch connector???

The JDM plug is 3 wires, yes, but the 92-93 is 5.

Looking at my 93 harness it doesn't look that difficult, especially now that I see I was holding the grey plug upside down before . Might be something to do this weekend.

Re: Fog light switch connector???

I do recommend going to honda and getting the zip-tie things that hold the harness in for a nice clean install.
