Last problem with the Lude (knock on wood)

Hi guys! So my Lude is finally running properly and its sounding great, just the car i want and love. I need advice on one last thing though. I have one locking lug nut on each wheel. I do not have the key to my lug nuts, and im just scared if im going to pop a tire, that i will need to get it towed for a flat. So i have taken it to two different tire shops and they both told me they dont want to blow them off because its such a tight squeeze that it will damage the rims to much. Do you guys have any advice?

I love Eric the car guy... but i have already tried this sadly when i shot the rod through the block... It would not come off. And i had some serious man muscle to help me out.

1/2" breaker bar, 4- 6pt impact sockets you'll never use again, 3-6' steel pipe. Drive socket onto lock nut. Push down on pipe with leg power. If that don't work, dynamite will.

Really had to be careful choosing words for this one.

Re: Last problem with the Lude (knock on wood)

Check w/ a couple of tire shops -- they see so many lost lug keys that most good ones have built up a collection, and will have something that'll work.

Re: Last problem with the Lude (knock on wood)

Ok, ill check a few more. Their isnt a whole lot in my area. The town next to me is know to be the Meth capital lol. So there is a lot of tweaks. So since growing up with the father that i had, i do know a lot of them. So im going to check if some of them have a shaved key, and i have a couple other people also looking for a shaved key for my car, so hopefully ill be able to find one.

Re: Last problem with the Lude (knock on wood)

Most of those are designed to work with impact wrenches...will need a big breaker bar if you're doing it by hand. You'll probably destroy the lug nut, too, so have extras.
