Our stock intake resonator?

I wanted to ram my short ram intake but when I look down the hole the stock box is still there but I'm confused on how the air goes in.

The first hole i see is covered with metal mesh and the 2 other holes are inside to the left one has a butterfly valve (stuck open) and the other is just open

So my question is where should I ram my pipe to what hole ? lol ( no sexual innuendo here lol)

Re: Our stock intake resonator?

The hole covered with mesh is leads down inside the front right wheel well -- that's the actual intake. The other two both lead to the throttle body -- the one with the butterfly valve is longer, and the valve is supposed to open up at higher rpm. Cover both if you can.

So are those two ports useless? And would I need to seal both or just manually close the flap , any suggestions on plugging the ports?

Re: Our stock intake resonator?

Just get rid of all the stuff. Some people say stock is better (which it could be) but there are just some many GD vacuum lines and reservoirs and boxes and diaphragms and STUFF. I would run a pipe through the hole to get better air or leave it in the bay. Either way. Honda put way to many vacuum diaphragms all over the car, hence so many idle problems.

Ya I'm just going to stick a pipe in there , should I still consider plugging the 2 throttle body intake holes?

Re: Our stock intake resonator?

i took the whole box out from under there then i removed and unplugged the box the vacuum line ran to and also disconnected it from the intake mani and used a vacuum cap there. I agree there are too many vacuum lines, that whole setup was way too much for an air box imo

Just delete the resonator man. If you do as you're saying where will you put a filter?
