4th gen need advice

ok so i have been trying to get some extra hp. what i have done so far is put all fiberglass body kit to reduce weight, light weight rims and tires, cold air intake, aftermarket exhaust not sure brand it came on the car.
anyways iv been thinking about putting a test pipe on it to increase noise level i know it wont add a whole lot of hp about 6 i believe. but what can i do to get more hp i have a 94 si h22

Re: 4th gen need advice

test pipe doesn't do a whole lot, if anything, on these cars. You're better off with a high flow cat. Me being cheap I went with a test pipe that doubled as a resonator...knock down two stones with one bird at once for half the cost. lol

Not sure if fiberglass would reduce weight...besides, "adding it on" will just increase weight you would think. Stock body is plenty good...CF hood/trunk/sunroof panel is more worth while IMO. Strip your trunk if you're hard up. Delete some stuff in your engine bay (air, cruise). Add a short shifter if you want too.

If you want the most out of your intake/exhaust you should get a tune. Read up on the Phearable.net chips. Pretty interesting.

Speaking of which make sure you do a lot of reading before adding anything to your car (if you're serious about getting more performance).

with stock IM and stock header you dont really need tune... because you dont gain much of those upgrades anyway. its like tuning the stock engine

Re: 4th gen need advice

You should keep your spare tire. If you really want to lose weight, remove all sound padding under the carpets, all trim in the trunk, and A/C Delete.
