I found a nice, twisty area of Tennessee highway to drive the other day with the sunroof open and was impressed at how nimble, agile, and precise the handling is in this 95 I got. It really impressed me. I felt the working of the suspension, and around some pretty sharp turns nary a chirp from the tires. I didn't and don't drive TOO fast, but the aplomb in this car's handling have impressed this dyed-in-the-wool musclecar guy.

Re: Impressed noob

The 4th gen is (arguably) the pinnacle of Prelude evolution... it certainly is my favorite. While there were variations that were more suited to the twisties, I think the timeless body and one-of-a-kind interior made up for any handling it gave up. Welcome to the world of Preludes, my friend.

Welcome to the dark side! As good as it handles now, it's capable of much more with the right upgrades. ;]

Re: Impressed noob

Nice to hear...makes me really want to drive mine again!

Upgrades include any suspension upgrade you'd do to any other car. Energy suspension bushings all around, proper spring/strut or coil set up, proper wheel/tire combo and strut tower bars front and back. While these mods would make any average car handle better, it enhances the already great stock handling these cars have and make it shine above the rest.

Re: Impressed noob

Nice story. Well put description of your prelude adventure.
Rep'd

Preludes are fun cars. I have a 3rd and a 5th but my favorite prelude to drive is the 4th.
